Country liquor is the most popular drink

The biggest toddy and country liquor-drinking states are Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Andhra Pradesh is India’s biggest drinking state with nearly 34.5 litres per year, across types of alcohol.

Kerala has prohibition and planning systematic shut down of liquor shops.

Bihar has implemented total prohibition.
